Buildings can be purchased in the market. They are one of the best ways to rapidly increase your Party , Brawl or Journey points but cost a lot of silver and often take a long time to build. Many buildings also require Staff, meaning you either have to hire your friends, or spend gold.

The Haunted Fun House was a special seasonal building for Halloween 2011. It is constructed by completing a series of quests, during which you will search the Enchanted Forest for pieces which fit together.
Carnival Pavilion

The Carnival Pavilion is the largest structure in your town, covering an area of 10x10, but being taller than the Fortress. It is constructed by completing a series of quests, known as the Carnival chain of quests, in which you prepare for a visit from the Gnome King.

The Tournament Grounds are built just after the Carnival Pavilion, when the Gnome King visits your town, with his entourage of knights. It is constructed by completing a series of quests, during which you will search the Enchanted Forest for pieces which fit together.
